EF 100mm F/2.8 Macro USM is a medium telephoto lens with 1.0k. macro photography magnifying function. Using the lens's eight aperture plates, it is possible to creatively blur the background and highlight the subject. The lens uses a focus limit switch that limits the focus range and increases the autofocus speed.
Ring ultrasonic autofocus with manual control

Canon's ring-based ultrasonic autofocus system uses ultrasonic frequency vibrations to operate quickly, accurately, and virtually silently.
