- Optical / fiber optic 12-kos fiber splice cassette with cover, designed to accommodate spliced fiber optic cable fibers.
- Fiber splice locations are protected by thermofits (fiber protectors) and installed in the fiber holders of the cassette, and the fiber optic fibers and pigtails are wound in specially designated places in the cassette.
- The cassette holds up to twelve fibers, with two fiber holders holding 6 fibers each.
- Cassettes can be stacked (mounted one on top of the other) with special holders HX1.
- Cassettes are usually installed in fiber optic panels (ODF) or boxes. Up to four cassettes can be installed in a 1U panel - when installing four cassettes, they should be stacked without covers.
