Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Plus

The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus has been specifically designed to be the perfect companion to the ATEM Mini. It’s the same high-quality broadcast camera, but with an HDMI-centric design that eliminates all the expensive broadcast connections, making it a much lower price point. HDMI is incredibly powerful, as it connects the video to the ATEM Mini, while simultaneously sending camera control, calculation and remote recording trigger to the camera over the same HDMI connection. This makes for a very quick turnaround.

Compact and lightweight design

Big broadcasters use expensive studio cameras that are very large, making them not very portable. The exclusive Blackmagic Studio Camera has all the benefits of a large studio camera, combining a camera and viewfinder in one compact design. It features a lightweight carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate body with innovative technologies and a miniature design. The camera is designed for live production, so it is easy to track and frame shots using the large 7-inch viewfinder. The touchscreen contains the camera settings menu, as well as knobs for brightness, contrast and focus.

Exceptional low-light performance

In advanced cameras, ISO is a measure of the image sensor's sensitivity to light. This means that the higher the ISO, the more gain can be added, allowing you to shoot in natural light or even at night. The Blackmagic Studio Camera features a gain range of -12 dB (ISO 100) to +36 dB (ISO 25,600), so it's optimized to reduce grain and noise in images while preserving the full dynamic range of the sensor. The primary ISO is 400, which is ideal for use in studio lighting. The secondary high-base ISO 3200 is perfect for shooting in low-light environments.
