Easy to operate in vertical position

The controls on the VG-C4EM are almost identical to those on the camera body. The button placement, size and shape have been optimized using the same material as the α9 II and α7R IV bodies. As a result, the function, placement and 'feel' of the controls are completely reminiscent of the camera body when the camera is held vertically.

Strong and secure handle

The comfortable grip design allows you to hold the camera firmly. The vertical grip makes shooting easy and fun, no matter how you hold the camera - horizontally or vertically, making it easier to focus on the subject and composition.

Effective activity duration doubled

The VG-C4EM uses one or two NP-FZ100 batteries. Using two batteries will give the camera nearly twice as long as using one battery. The remaining battery charge is displayed on the LCD screen, in 1% increments. When one battery runs out, the other is automatically switched on, so you can continue shooting without interruption.

Battery charging or power supply via USB

The vertical grip batteries are charged via the camera's USB port without removing it from the camera. For long-term shooting, the camera battery can be recharged directly via the camera's USB port

Lightweight and durable magnesium alloy body

The VG-C4EM's body is made from the same magnesium alloy as the α9 II and α7R IV bodies, ensuring the same level of rigidity as the camera, while keeping overall weight and volume to a minimum.

Reliable dust/moisture resistance

The camera grip attachment is sealed with the same material as the camera body to protect against dust and moisture, increasing the overall reliability of the camera system.
