The new 2022 R-Series subwoofers are here—drawing on decades of subwoofer engineering experience. They deliver deep, clean, and accurate bass and feature Alpine HAMR Surround technology, which maximizes cone excursion for plenty of bass. The new ceramic dust cap is ultra-light and rigid, keeping distortion to an absolute minimum. A new, enlarged motor structure provides better overall woofer control for clean, powerful bass.

New 2022 R Series SubwoofersThe next generation of sound quality is available with the second generation R Series subwoofers, featuring a larger motor structure for more accurate and authoritative bass.

New engine structureThe second-generation R-Series subwoofers now feature larger, dual-stacked magnets, which, compared to the previous generation, provide greater motor force for deeper bass and tighter bass control from the subwoofer cone. An integrated Faraday ring minimizes distortion for cleaner bass. The Kevlar-coated cone ensures the subwoofer's durability and reliable performance, even at high volumes.

Next-generation audio performanceSince the Type R platform, Alpine's R-Series family of sound systems has been renowned for their incredible output and reliable performance. Now, Alpine is taking sound quality to the next level with the second-generation R-Series subwoofers, which deliver even more bass power.

Extra reliabilityA new polypropylene-ceramic composite dust cover provides rigidity while providing incredible internal damping (vibration absorption) to smooth out bass and reproduce powerful bass. This high-quality, unique material also has improved thermal resistance, ensuring uninterrupted bass reproduction.

Flexible applicationThe second-generation R-Series subwoofers feature a dual voice coil (DVC) design with easy-to-configure jumpers for flexible applications. A new "EZ-Change" twist-lock grille mounting system simplifies installation and removal of the optional grille without mounting screws, providing additional protection for the cone.

Increased accuracyThese subwoofers feature Alpine's High Amplitude Multi-Roll (HAMR) surround technology. This rubber surround allows air to move efficiently through the subwoofer cone while maintaining a cool, cool feel. This technology allows for a total cone excursion and movement of 20 mm, providing incredible subwoofer precision.

Sizes and variantsThe new R-Series subwoofers are available in 12", 10" and 8" configurations and feature dual 2Ω and dual 4Ω impedance.
