The Alcotest 5000 device can quickly and hygienically check a large number of persons and determine whether they have consumed alcohol.

Detects alcohol in exhaled air, liquids or the environment. Disposable nozzles are not required.

The device informs on the screen whether the exhaled aircontainsorabsencealcohol. The device does not measure anddoes not show the result in numbers (perms).

Operation, measurement methods

The device draws in and analyzes a sample of the air to be tested. If no alcohol is detected, the display shows the symbolV, the green LED lights up. If > 0.05‰ (0.03 mg/l) of alcohol is detected, the symbolXis displayed on the screen, the red LED lights up. The results are saved in memory.

Active (automatic) measurement
The person being tested blows into the device. After detecting the air flow, the breathalyzer draws the sample by itself.

Passive measurement
Sample inclusion is activated by the operator by pressing a button.

The person being tested blows into the device. If the amount or flow of exhaled air is not sufficient for automatic measurement, the operator activates the sample intake manually.
