Proximity detection The DualCurtain detector has a unique protection zone expansion technology. When close-range detection is enabled, the detector's top PIR sensor receives an additional narrow surveillance sector, directed at an angle of 40 degrees downwards relative to the main sector. This feature allows both sensors to detect motion when a person crosses the protected perimeter close to the detector, avoiding the blind zone that is a typical problem with such detectors. The proximity detection feature is designed to protect windows and other passages that animals cannot access. The proximity detection mode is a patented technology from Ajax Systems. Two independent detectors The detection range of each of the optical systems is independently adjustable. This allows you to precisely determine the perimeter protected by the detector and avoid false alarms caused by a bush swaying in the wind or people walking on a public sidewalk. The optical systems are adjusted so that the detector's field of view is not blocked by a pole or downspout. In the app, you can set the sensitivity or disable one of the optical systems. The range of each optical system is set within 15 meters. Resistance to attacks The DualCurtain detector cannot be blinded or disabled unnoticed, even if the Ajax security system is disarmed. The detector's optical systems are reinforced with advanced masking sensors that respond to obstacles, covering, or lens tinting, and a tamper will prevent the device from being removed from the holder unnoticed. And even if the detector were instantly destroyed, the Ajax control panel would detect the loss of communication in <1 min and inform the central monitoring station and users about the problem. Exceptional autonomy Due to its low power consumption, this curtain detector can operate for many years on the supplied batteries. The battery life is up to 4 years. The monitoring station and users will be warned in advance about the need for device maintenance. The Ajax app shows the battery charge level. Easy connection and configuration To connect a detector to the system, simply scan the QR code with the Ajax app, assign it a name and room. Configure the device in the app in real time, while simultaneously testing the detection zones and connection.
