Cable for connecting the rear camera in Nissan Leaf cars with the OEM Nissan EV GEN1 and Nissan EV GEN2 multimedia system. With this cable you will be able to install an aftermarket Plug & Play camera without damaging your car's wiring. The image from the reversing camera will be automatically displayed on the screen when reversing. Parking lines that will be rotated using the steering wheel will be displayed on the camera image. Parking lines can be adjusted in the service menu (see the Parking Lines Adjustment Manual). The device is connected to a 40-pin socket (as shown in the wiring diagram). Depending on the car radio model, this socket may be located in a different place than the one shown in the diagram. Once connected, all OEM devices that work with this socket will not be disturbed and will function the same as before connection. Attention! If the car radio was not installed by the manufacturer, the backup activation signal may not be present on the wires connected to the car radio. In such cases, we have a gray REV wire in our cable. This wire should be powered by +12V when reverse gear is engaged (power can be taken from the rear light). You can also check the connection of this activation signal in the diagnostics menu. Attention! Additionally, the installed reversing camera should be powered from the ACC line (first key turn), otherwise the camera input will not be active. Depending on the type of camera you are connecting, namely the voltage required for the camera, you can use the +6 V input voltage that the monitor produces. If the camera requires more than 6V, connect the camera power to the ACC line.
