Adapter for connecting a reversing camera - Toyota

A rearview camera is a feature that a growing number of car owners are using. It allows the driver to monitor the situation behind the vehicle on the screen, while reversing or parking. This gives them a better view of cars behind them and the location of blind spots, such as trees or posts. However, connecting the rearview camera to the monitor requires a special adapter, which can be purchased at car-tronic.pl.

Our rearview camera adapter is compatible with Toyota vehicles equipped with GEN5 and GEN6 MFD multifunction displays. The adapter is easily installed using Plug Play, requiring no modifications to the vehicle's original wiring.

This cable allows you to connect a rearview camera in Toyota/Lexus vehicles with the 5th generation OEM multimedia system. The cable offers aftermarket Plug Play installation without damaging the factory wiring.

The image from the rearview camera will automatically be displayed on the screen when reversing. The device is connected to the 40-pin socket (as shown in the wiring diagram). Once connected, all OEM devices that use this socket will not be affected and will function as before the connection.

Attention! Power for the rearview camera must be obtained from the ACC line (first turn of the switch), otherwise the camera input will not be active. Depending on the camera type (more precisely, the voltage required for operation), the monitor's +6V output voltage can be used. If the camera requires more than 6V, it should be connected to the ACC line.

Attention! In some cases, the head unit may not have a reverse wire. In this case, you will need to extend the +12V tail light wire as the adapter will not work.
