Adapters are needed to retain the factory camera when upgrading to a universal radio. They allow you to connect a factory camera to a device with a camera input. Depending on the vehicle and equipment, the adapter provides an RCA video signal, +6V power/ground for the OEM camera, and a reversing signal. Vehicles with a 360° camera system or systems with moving distance guides may not be compatible. Before installation, verify the correct adapter assignment to the OEM connector. Many retrofit devices must be set to the camera function in the menu.
