CTK TempoFix 8s

A self-adhesive, ultra-lightweight thermo-acoustic mat made of foamed polyethylene with refining additives, it is one of the most efficient materials for thermal and acoustic insulation of the vehicle cabin. CTK TermoFix 8 foam mats are easy to install on flat or simple surfaces. They are primarily intended for use inside vehicles, as thermal barriers preventing excessive heating or cooling of the vehicle interior, and as highly effective acoustic barriers isolating the cabin from mechanical noise (road noise from the wheels, engine, etc.). Thanks to their oil- and water-resistant properties, TempoFix 8 foams have a wide range of applications and can be applied to most flat body parts, such as the floor, roof, behind plastic panels, inside the trunk lid, and inside door compartments. Their unique structure and moisture resistance make TempoFix foam mats ideal for use under car carpets, effectively blocking road noise from entering the cabin. For best results, we recommend using CTK TempoFix 8 foam with self-adhesive aluminum-butyl mats, which are used to dampen vibrations and resonances from the substrate (TempoFix foam should be applied as a second layer to metal body parts that have previously been damped with an aluminum-butyl anti-vibration mat). When damping elements with sharp curves or strong embossing, instead of TempoFix 8mm foam, we recommend using two layers of CTK TempoFix 4mm foam, which is thinner, more flexible, and easier to install.

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY SILENCE YOUR CAR?

The highest level of soundproofing a vehicle's interior can only be achieved by comprehensive soundproofing (damping, acoustic isolation, and soundproofing) of all key body and interior components, layering these components (where possible and space permits) with three different types of the most effective, top-class materials, each with different acoustic properties, operating in a different frequency range, and fulfilling a different role.
