Steering wheel control adapter Stalk Adapter Mitsubishi (CAN BUS) - Outlander CW0 - for aftermarket radio (SWC)

Stalk Adapter Mitsubishi is an interface CAN BUS which allows you to keep the factory settings steering wheel radio controls (SWC) after replacing the original radio with an aftermarket radio (retrofit HU). This allows you to still conveniently control basic functions without taking your hands off the steering wheel. However, please note that depending on your vehicle's equipment and the capabilities of the new radio, some functions may be limited, omitted, or assigned differently.

Before installation, compare the harness plugs with the vehicle connectors and verify that a compatible OEM radio was installed in the car. Additionally, perform a SWC and vehicle function test before finalizing the installation.

• Mitsubishi Outlander (CW0) 09/2018 - 03/2022

Important: vehicle kit without factory sound system Rockford Fosgate.
For cars with Rockford Fosgate a different interface is required: item: 42xmt009.

Connectors and connections

• Main connector: 20-pin Mitsubishi

• SWC: OEM SWC → 3.5mm jack / loose wires

• Communication: CAN BUS

• Black wire: mass GND (Class 31)

Attention: Perform DIP settings according to the aftermarket radio manufacturer's instructions (retrofit HU).

Signals provided by the interface

The interface transmits the following signals to the aftermarket radio:

• red: +12V after ignition (Cl. 15)

• orange: +12V backlight (Kl. 58)

• purple/white: +12V reverse

• pink: speed pulse (VSS)

• green: parking brake signal ground (GND)

Output load capacity: max 250 mA
If the radio requires > 250 mA:

• 1 relay: coil min. 75 Ohm

• 2 relays: coils min. 150 Ohms

Note: cars that have been re-imported or have a different software version may have limited function compatibility.
