Steering wheel control adapter Stalk Adapter VW Crafter (CAN BUS) - for aftermarket radio (SWC)

Stalk Adapter VW is an interface CAN BUS intended for VW Crafter (2EC/EK/2F) 2014-2016 which allows you to keep the factory settings steering wheel radio controls (SWC) after replacing the OEM radio with an aftermarket radio (retrofit HU). The adapter also provides the necessary installation signals (ignition, backlight, reverse, VSS, etc.), making the installation of the new radio simpler and more predictable. However, it's important to remember that depending on the vehicle's equipment and the functions of the new unit, some steps may be omitted or replaced with other functions.

Compatible OEM radio (as per specifications):

• RCD3002 (OEM)

• RNS 4001 / RNS 5001 (OEM navigation)

Connectors and requirements

• Main connector: 40-pin Quadlock (in the manufacturer's description: Quadlock Mercedes - used in this version of the installation)

• SWC: OEM SWC → 3.5mm jack / loose wires

• Yellow wire: +12V constant (Cl. 30) with fuse (battery powered)

Constant power switch off versions

• This variant is intended for vehicles with the function constant power switch off.

• If the vehicle There isn't this function: another adapter is required SWC BMW/Mercedes/Smart/VW Quadlock - item: 42a-1190-003.

• If you have RCD 2001 1-DIN: is needed SWC Mercedes ISO/10 Pin ISO/Mini ISO - item: 42a-1190-001.

Note: Perform DIP settings according to the aftermarket radio manufacturer's instructions.

Signals provided by the interface

• red: +12V after ignition (Cl. 15)

• orange: +12V backlight (Kl. 58)

• purple/white: +12V reverse

• pink: speed pulse (VSS)

• green: parking brake signal ground (GND)

Max output load: 250 mA
If the radio requires > 250 mA:

• 1 relay: coil min. 75 Ohm
