Rugged Enclosure

UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is built to operate reliably in demanding outdoor environments. Its enclosure combines aluminum alloy with UV-stabilized polycarbonate, providing strong protection against weather, sunlight, and mechanical stress. The device is rated IPX6 by default and can reach IP67 protection when used with the optional cable-gland door kit, making it suitable for rain, snow, dust, and humidity. Flexible mounting options allow installation on walls or poles, with all required mounting accessories included in the package. The sturdy construction is engineered to withstand strong winds of up to 200 km/h, ensuring safe deployment on rooftops, towers, or open outdoor structures. Integrated cellular antennas, including high-gain antennas for downlink, help maintain strong and consistent signal reception. Power is supplied via PoE, simplifying installation by reducing the need for separate power lines. Easy Management

The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor is designed to work with UniFi Cloud Gateways and UniFi consoles as an external 5G modem. It connects via Ethernet and provides a high-speed mobile WAN uplink for UniFi networks. The device does not function as a standalone router, but instead complements existing UniFi infrastructure by delivering primary or backup internet connectivity. A single 2.5 GbE Ethernet port provides fast connectivity to gateways or switches, ensuring the cellular connection does not become a bottleneck. Power over Ethernet further simplifies deployment and maintenance. The device uses high-power radio technology to improve uplink performance, which is especially useful in locations with challenging network conditions. With a maximum power consumption of only 14.5 W, it remains energy-efficient while delivering enterprise-grade performance. The wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +65°C allows reliable operation in extreme climates.
