The Garmin AIS 800 transceiver increases situational awareness and confidence. It has a 5W transmit power and provides faster position reporting. It shares your vessel's information with other AIS receivers and receives accurate AIS data. The Garmin AIS 800 has an internal VHF antenna splitter that allows VHF and AIS to share a single antenna. The Garmin AIS 800 has a built-in GPS receiver (with optional external antenna included) and integrates seamlessly with your Garmin system. The transceiver has a NMEA 2000/0183 interface for easy integration with compatible chartplotters. All of this is housed in an easy-to-install black box unit.
